Why Me?

Don't beat yourself up asking the question "Why Me?" It's only normal to wonder why we're facing challenges when others, it seems, are going about their daily lives, but it's not productive. We have to look for other ways to look at our situation.

Sometimes, we look for meaning in the difficulties, and sometimes we find it, and sometimes we don't. At least, we can't find answers at first, anyway. It may take some time to change our perspective.

What we can do is face the challenge, and ask ourselves, "So, what can I do Now?" Instead of regret, we can put our emotions to work to persevere and overcome.

Bear Grylls says in his book, Mind Fuel, "Accepting our journey through life takes courage, not judgement. Seeing the positive ways in which difficult experiences have shaped us can help, maybe eventually leading to a place where we can look at them with gratitude rather than regret."
