Don't Give Up!

If you’re trying your best to endure a challenging time, you know how difficult it is to keep the faith. You start out with hope, but the setbacks come, and then, what happens to your faith? Like an aging athlete, your belief is tested. Is this the end? Is it time to give up? Remember that anyone can give up. Be strong. Keep the faith. As someone once said, "I want to see what happens, if I don't give up."

Waiting and Worrying

We’ve all been there. and maybe you’re there now. We’re waiting on a test result, a doctor’s appointment, an important meeting. Your mind is filled with negative thoughts. What if it’s bad news? What if it means my life will be turned upside down? Will I be able to handle it? Waiting gives you time to worry. Waiting gives you time to think of all the bad things that could happen. Waiting makes time slow down. We’re reminded of somebody’s advice to a worried person. “Don’t die in the chair,” he advised. “Do something.” Waiting for a moment to come can take the life out of you. Worrying about something that may come or may never come will not produce another outcome. Do something. Help someone. Give to another. Listen to a positive message. Get outdoors and go for a walk. Go out to lunch with a friend if you’re able. But do something. You will be much better off if you do.

A New Beginning

What a great time for a new beginning! No matter where you are in life, it's not too late to begin again. Maybe you've been in a dark place, maybe a sickness has you thinking that there's no need to fight, maybe you're at the lowest point of your life. But anybody can quit. Anybody can just decide that there's no sense trying. Anybody can decide that it's too late. Don't be anybody. Be inspired by what one man endured and defeated years and years ago. Decide today to start believing!
