When facing a challenge, there are always unknowns, but there are usually things that we know we must do. Motivation only goes so far, it seems, especially when we can find excuses. What we need most is discipline.
Abraham Lincoln said, "Discipline is choosing between what you want now, and what you want most." What do you want? Are you willing to suffer the pain of discipline or the pain of regret? Someone once said that the pain of discipline is far less than the pain of regret.
Jocko Willink said in his book, Discipline Equals Freedom, "Discipline is about facing your fears so you can conquer them."
Face your fears. Conquer them. Stay disciplined.
