Some people believe that The Greater The Pain, The Greater The Purpose. While we may disagree on whether this is indeed true, we can agree that trials will change us. They tend to reveal things about us that we might not know otherwise.
Trials can also strengthen our character, and our resolve to persevere. Without the tough times, we would not know just what we are capable of doing.
James 1:2-4 says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
