Watch What You Say

Watch what you say about yourself. Your words can be very powerful, especially when you're dealing with a challenge. Joel Osteen says, "Your words are like seeds. When you speak something out, you give life to what you're saying."

He goes on to say that it's great when we say positive things like I'm blessed, I'm strong, but not when we say negative things about ourselves. "Your life," he says, "will move in the direction of your words."

When we are hurting, it's easy to say what we may be thinking. Don't. Stop, and think about what you say out loud, even if you're the only one around. Don't give those negative thoughts more power. Replace them with positive, faith filled words. Speak words that will give you strength and perseverance. Speak words that will inspire.

Remember the direction you want to move.
