You've been waiting for the test results, and they're here. You might be hesitant at first, fearing the news will not be good. However, you know that not reading them will not change the results in the least. You may find yourself saying a prayer as you open them.
If the news is good, you breathe a sigh of relief, as your spirits take a turn for the best. All is good. A smile appears, and the energy level suddenly gets much better.
If the news is not good, you may find yourself going through one or more of the five stages of grief, including denial, anger, bargaining, depression, or acceptance. You might try to figure out a reason. You might try to blame the results on your failures. You might get angry, and ask the question you've tried to avoid for so long, Why Me?
After the results sink in, you may ask the question, What Now? It's easy enough when the test results were good, but what happens now when the results are not the best? Are you able to hang on, and figure out some strategies going forward, or Are the results just too much to wrap your head around right now?
Give yourself some time, and renew your faith for the journey ahead. Accept help from family and friends. Look for possible solutions, even when there are not to be many, it appears, at first. Believe things can turn around. Find peace, and let your heart guide you. Most of all, Never Give Up!
